Thanks to innovative materials and the new production processes adapted to them, with PIRASTRO PERPETUAL a set of strings has been developed that has never been in the PIRASTRO range before. The PIRASTRO PERPETUAL has the largest sound volume with a very high carrying capacity combined with precisely focused sound projection. The clarity of the PERPETUAL's sound does not, however, lead to a reduction in its richness of colour. These characteristics are combined with concise tone approaches and optimal response from the extreme fortissimo to the very quiet range.

The PIRASTRO PERPETUAL violin strings react in an ideal way to the finest changes in bow speed and bow load; they thus allow an extremely differentiated playing in dynamics and expression. The new basic material allows a comfortable suppleness with tone connections, changes of position, string transitions, double stops and chords. The long resonance of the PERPETUAL unfolds a suggestive magic of sound.

Although the PIRASTRO PERPETUAL changes within 24 hours in the direction of an even smoother tone, an enormous vocal stability is achieved immediately after winding the strings.

Another novelty in the PERPETUAL set is the E string with platinum coating, which PIRASTRO offer in thicknesses of 0.26 mm and 0.267 mm.
The E string 0.26 mm sounds silvery bright and very brilliant, the stronger E 0.267 mm has a slightly darker sound and is even more voluminous. Both E strings are equipped with a removable ball.

The standard set of G, D and A synthetic-based strings includes a 0.26 mm E-string.
